Weekend Recap
Another great weekend.
Had a ton to do, and got a lot done. Here was my checklist for the weekend:
1. Finish painting the 2 spawn. Everything else is secondary.
*** Got them both done and am very pleased with how they look, pictures soon.
2. Base and paint all 10 movement trays.
*** Plan on this tonight.
3. Add flock to all 10 movement trays.
*** This is planned for tomorrow night.
4. Add Static grass to all miniatures and movement trays.
*** Have this planned for Wed and Thurs night. Was also told I should do this after I dull cote the miniatures as the spray will mess them up.
I did do a practice model this weekend and I hated the way it looked. But I think I figured out what I did wrong. Going to do another practice model tonight.
5. Spray coat display board.
*** This is finished. Really happy with the way it came out. Pictures coming soon.
6. Add more highlights to my Rat Ogres. They look too brown compared to the rest of the army. Hopefully this will give it a bit more uniform look. I'm just going to line all 20 up on my table, and just go down the line and had some flesh highlights to the muscles.
*** Finished with this. Took longer than I thought. They look better. But their fur is still dark brown compared to the red/brown of everything else. But if it was all one color it would bee too much I think. They still look ok together. But part of me wants to strip them all down and redo them. Ugghhh!!
7. Dull coat the entire army.
*** Did this last night. All finished. Wow, what a difference. It did the trick, they look awesome. No glossy shine, they look great. I didn't do the furies. I think I'm going to leave them as the only shiny part are the wings, which is ok.
I also didn't do the hounds, they didn't need it. I like the way they look.
I also got in another League game. Pictures and BR coming soon. I used the exact army I'm planning on using at the Boyou. Very tough game. A lot harder than I was expecting. My opponent played very well with a wood elf list.
I tried out death magic on my 2nd shaman and liked it a lot. So I think I'm going to run beast and death magic at the GT.
Other things I did this weekend.
1. My wife picked up an old awesome movie on DVD. You might have heard of it. *Ghost Busters* what a great movie. So we wathched that.
2. Also watched, *Take the Lead* which really wasn't that bad. Dancing was great, but the dialog was a bit forced.
3. Watched Dresden files last night. Not bad at all. Not as good as last weekends, but good anyway.
4. Watched Battlestar. I didn't care for this one at all. Starbuck becomes a total nutjob, but they let her fly anyway instead of giving her 2 weeks off. She flies down chasing ghosts and blows up. Now I'm almost sure, they did not kill off Starbuck, but it sure looks that way. She did have her hand on the eject handle before she blew up. But they talked about the gravity crushing her if she got too close to the ground.
So a very busy weekend, that was waaaayyy too short again.
Still lots of work to finish before Friday, but I have plans to leave Friday early, get down to the Boyou, get in a practice game and then go see the awesome looking movie, *300*. I'm starting to really get pumped.
Until next time...

I for one will not complain if no battle report gets posted until after the Bayou. Work on what's more pressing dude. Glad to hear everything is coming together like you expected.
I do most of the BR's during my lunch hours at work. Since that is past, it will probably be tomorrow before I get started on it.
Things are going well. Now its just setup the assembly line for the 10 movement trays I have.
