Your board is beautiful, and simple. I now have hope that I, too, can make a display board.

Oh, and the army looks even better then just the sum of all the pics you have posted individually.
And..how well does putting your herd of skirmishers on what looks like the GW textured tray work in game? Do you like the ease of movement, are you still diligent about cover and what not?
I actually had a negative comment on the board. I was told it was better to just have a neutral color than the plywood. So consider that. This was from a "great" painter.
Thanks. The herd trays are just thick cardboard, with balsa strips. Then texture, spraypainted and flock added. Then clear coated to keep the flock on.
They worked fantastic. I made them 4" by 5" so I could go 4 wide, min or 5 wide. Many times I went wider, no big deal.
The trays made deployment and ease of movement a snap. A couple times it would have been better to not have it, but only once or twice.
