Cowboys and Superheroes

Last night I had my TV time split between the Cowboys last pre-season game and the season finale of "Who wants to be a Superhero?"

Yes it was a good night. Always good to watch my Cowboys, even though last night's game did not look good. Minnisota's defense looks very top notch. And again the Cowboys Offensive line looks weak. That could be the downfall of them this year.
Only 9 more days to kickoff in Jacksonville. "HOW 'BOUT THEM COWBOYS!!"

Anyway after watching the cowpolks get beat up on for a quarter and a half, I flipped it over to the season finale of Superhero. A campy little reality show for Stan Lee to find his next great comic book hero.
Tonights show had them hit a stunt show area where they jumped on a trampaline, learn some movie fight moves, fly through the air in front of a green screen, and perform some other heroic movie acts. Overall a really fun time. Feedback definetely performed better as he looks fairly athletic, while Fat Mama is well, Fat Mama.

They then got a quick talk one on one with Stan and finally onto Universal Street for the big announcement in front of a bunch of spares who looked pretty obvious that most of it was faked oohing and aahhhing.

Anyway in the end, I think the best Superhero won with Feedback. His background story is much better and his super powers are something you can write a hundred stories around. Compared to Big Mamas, I grow big and stomp on you. Just seemed a bit too campy to me, and very little imagination.

Sometimes I thought Feedback was a bit too into it, and a lot of stuff seemed forced. A lot looked like some producer said, "can we redo that and this time look really surprised", that sort of stuff. But for a cheap low budget reality show, I thought it was great.

Winner got a trip to Universal studios themeparks for a week or something. So not that big a prize. The biggest prize was Stan Lee would do a comic book about you and Sci-Fi would do a movie about your character.

Overall, I recomend the series and if they do it again, I'll probably watch. The production and quality was low. Seemed like they didn't have enough to put into the shows and there wasn't enough interaction as everyone was all I'm a good guy, which is what they should be. And in the end, it was way too much, "Oh don't eliminate him, eliminate me instead."

But still I liked it. Hope you had a chance to check it out. And look for the Feedback comic book and Sci-Fi movie coming soon.
